DISABLED KID COMIC CREATOR ASKS PETA BE HEROES & STOP ABUSE AT APARTMENT COMPLEX
BOYLE HEIGHTS, CA April 30, 2012 CEO & founder of Super Smash Comixz has seen animal abuse
go totally out of control at Wyverland Apartment complex in Boyle
Heights. There was a previous case of animal abuse involving a cat. The
complaint was presented to Deputy Bupp of the Los Angles Sheriffs Dept.
This
was the incident several months ago that involved a rock being thrown
at a cat eyes due to it "Meowing too loud." Th offenders have since
moved from the long trouble apartment complex. There is a culture of
animal abuse here--from throwing shoes at dogs and cats to hitting them
with sticks. Today there was an incident where 2
previously abused dogs perceiving that they were once again under
attack bark to defend themselves. Aeylias Lopez States " My Dad went out
to try to calm the situation down and instead they faulted him. He was
trying to make sure everyone was safe including the dogs, that's just
how my Dad is, he is always helping."
It is important to note
that the family and kids involved with incident were caught several
times abusing the cat and dog on previous occasions. So of course you
cant just hurt animals at whim and then think you are going to play with
them.
Aeylias went on to state we are asking for PETA's help in
this matter as we feel it is beyond a normal animal abuse situation its
like a plague, its systemic-we live in a local culture where there is,
on the majority, little respect for animals.
It's why I am doing
my book "THE RANGERS" I am tired of seeing injustice and doing nothing
about it," Concludes Aeylias of Heo Comixzs.
Wyvernwood Apartments Threatens Abused dogs with Sacks & Los Angeles River
(PS to this story-I lost) Boyle Heights, CA May 4, 2012-After contacting Animal cruelty, LAPD, ASPCA, PETA and filing complaints due to abusing animals, management responded by bringing in 4 men with dog chokers to apprehend the under 5 lbs dogs in question. Aeylias Lopez, founder of HERO COMICXZS & human rights and animals rights proponent, called for his father Sebastian Lopez for help.
Mr. Lopez went outside several times, having more than one conversation with an individual claiming he was Marcello, the manager from the long embattled Wyvernwood Apartments, 2901 Olympic Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90023 877-383-2353, but refused to provide any identification or even a business card. "I don't have a business card.” he insisted. Aren’t you Mr. Sucks?" Marcello said to Aeylias' disabled father and then repeated it.
There's been a long history of code violations & complaints to La HOUSING, FAIR HOUSING & HUD. Marcello was the man Sebastian believes was behind most of the problems. The complex is trying to get rid of everyone because they are trying to convert the place into high rise condominiums. “They refused to fix our heat till after winter.” Said Sebastian.
“Not to mention they did a bait and switch on us and then refused to refund us our holding deposit. You know they show you a beautiful apartment, you sign to take that apartment with that apartment number and then they tell its not available-only a shoddy terrible looking apartment, in its place.
"These are NOT trustworthy people" Stated Sebastian "During our second conversation, I asked what they were going to do with the dogs, with 3 other men in tow, Marcello answered rudely they’d “--probably put them in a sack and dump them in LA River.” From there Sebastian called 911 and they connected him to their animal cruelty division-sadly there was only a voice mail for which he left a message.
Aeylias’s mother got involved. Mrs. Lopez rounded up the dogs immediately and took them to North Central Animal Shelter located on 3201 Lacy St, Los Angeles, Ca 90020 "I couldn't watch the animals get hurt, I had to take action and make sure they were safe--with the history this apartment complex has you are not sure what they might do, I couldn‘t take that chance." Ms. Lopez finished. Bonnie from the North Central Animal Shelter said "The animals had no behavioral issues and were nice to us-They did not bark or try to bite anyone.“
"Yeah," Aeylias Lopez adds, "They have been trying to evict us for a long time and we knew it would be dangerous to stand up for the animals--now, again, they are trying to kick us out giving us a 3-day notice. Funny thing is IF we had a dog my Dad would be allowed-He has a letter from his doctor, because he has a seizure condition and when he is around dogs he does much better. It’s sad I am disabled & so is my Dad and this is how they treat us".
Security Officers, who repeatedly declined to protect the animals, claimed they ‘witnesses the Lopez's breech of contract (not allowing animals to live in the apartment), ‘Which of course is a complete fabrication‘, states Aeylias father.
The dogs are now safe in the shelter and perhaps the Lopez family will be joining them soon, if Wyvernwood Apartments succeeds in getting them evicted. The 3 day notice was given to them on May 4, 2012 but of course management claims the date Breech was discovered is May 1, 2012. Wyvernwood Apartments has a reputation for dirty tricks and this is just another one.
